I had the privilege of meeting Brenda in October 2011 when I was offered a management position on a world-renowned wildlife reserve in the Western Cape of South Africa. I discovered that Brenda left a successful professional career as an Optician, including working abroad, to pursue a career which would fulfil her passion for the natural environment. A feat which I find admirable. It soon became evident that Brenda was not only well qualified as a guide, but that she always maintained a high standard of professionalism. As senior guide she was an inspiration to the entire team, highly respected by all and a true ambassador for conservation. Her interest in botany and her approach of focusing on holistic experiences of the natural environment was truly inspirational. It was exciting to learn that Brenda has established her own business specializing in private guided hikes. With her professionalism, knowledge and experience she will undoubtedly create lifetime memories for nature enthusiasts. She is truly an exceptional guide.
